A Sentimental Journey: Revisiting the amazing world of film photography. Having inaugurated my amazing journey into photography in the mid-fifties, I am quite familiar with the capture and post production of the analog counterpart to digital, the world of film photography.

In Tim Meyer’s Lighting and Portraiture workshops, students are introduced to the origins and chronology of art. Tim walks us through the evolution of styles providing examples of period artists. We are asked to consider art history and the development of technique as an opportunity to explore the elements of our own personal journey and discovery of our own artistic voice. While I would look to Tim or materials from his classes to reveal the development of contour in art, the addition of specular highlights found personal intrigue with me.

In 1953, Marlin Brando stared in a film, "Wild One," about a motorcycle gang. The motorcycle Mr Brando rode in the film was a British made Triumph. Later in 1959, the famous Triumph Bonneville was born, named after the famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Today, the Triumph Bonneville has been resurrected as a modern motorcycle. The '50s era Bonneville was the theme for this vintage styled photo shoot. Our models, Madyson Wilmot and Bradley Perkins.
